Dan Schwebach
Vice President, Practice Management (Managing Director)
Dan has over 10 years of consulting and management experience with regionally and
nationally recognized physician group practices. As a consultant, Dan has been responsible
for managing numerous engagements focusing on performance improvement of practice
operations, financial turnaround strategy and execution, physician compensation
design, business development and revenue cycle redesign. Prior to joining AAPC Client
Services, Dan was a manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers Physician Practice Group
where he provided professional services to multi-specialty group practices and faculty
practice plans across the country.
Dixon Davis
Vice President, Business Development
Over the last 15 years, Dixon has held senior leadership and consulting positions in health care administration in a variety of settings including independent practices, integrated health systems, and independent physician associations (IPA). During this time Dixon has managed acquisitions, redesigned and implemented effective clinical work flows, managed several practice start-ups, implemented three different EMR systems, led several revenue enhancement and cost reduction efforts, and successfully led organizations through change management while strengthening the culture for sustained success. Dixon’s passion lies in creating quality systems that operate with efficiency and focus on providing a good environment for the patient and the caregiver. Dixon received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and his MBA/MHSA from Arizona State University.
Glade B. Curtis, MD, MPH, FACOG, CPC, COBGC
Medical Director
Dr. Curtis is a Board Certified and licensed physician, Fellow of the American College
of Obstetricians and Gynecologists with over 20 years experience in private practice.
In addition to his experience as a clinician, Dr. Curtis is a medical consultant
and has been a speaker and educator on medical coding for more than 15 years and
served as a member of the AAPC National Physician Advisory Board from 2002-2006.
Dr. Curtis is also a nationally recognized author having co-authored over 18 titles
which have sold over 5 million copies in total. He has also served as the spokesperson
for Oral B© for "Pregnancy and Dental Care" and as the "In House
Expert on Pregnancy" for the Life Channel (gather.com).
Peggy Stilley, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, COBGC, ACS-OB
Director, Audit Services
Peggy has more than 30 years of experience in multiple specialties including General
Practice, General Surgery, Neurology, and OB-Gyn. Prior to moving to Salt Lake City
to work for AAPC Client Services, Peggy was the clinic manager for University
of Oklahoma, OU Physicians & Women's Healthcare in Tulsa. Peggy earned her CPC®in
2000 and became a certified AAPC instructor in 2008. In addition to being very active
in coding and reimbursement issues, Peggy lectured residents regarding correct coding
and documentation. She is a national speaker and has presented for Coding Institute,
Ingenix, AAPC and Medical Business Institute.
Charla Prillaman, CPCO, CPC, CPC-I, CCC, CEMC, CPMA
Regional Director, Southeast
Charla has more than 25 years' experience providing coding, compliance and billing
services to physician practices. She has worked in a number of capacities including
coding and compliance for billing companies, a physician practice consultant for
both mid-size and Big 4 consulting firms, and 7+ years as a director of physician
compliance for a major health care system employing approximately 2,000 physicians.
She is a frequently sought speaker and educator and continues to be active in her
local AAPC chapter, serving on both the AAPC's National Advisory Board and AAPC
Chapter Association's Board of Directors.
Stephani E. Scott, CPC, RHIT
Managing Director - Audit Services
Stephani has over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry working closely with physicians and staff in Health Information Management. Stephani has worked in a variety of settings including: Hospital, Long-term care, large multi-specialty physician practice, and Electronic Health Record software design and development. Prior to working with AAPC Client Services, Stephani worked for NextGen, a leading EHR software vendor as the Regulatory Manager leading a team of clinical designers in developing and maintaining clinical content as well as regulatory components in the EHR system. She first obtained her love for EHR systems while working for a large multi-specialty practice in which she developed a comprehensive coding/billing training and compliance program. Stephani is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant on physician practice management topics including revenue cycle management, coding and auditing and HIPAA compliance.
